Trans Lifeline (a peer support hotline for the trans community) wasn’t raising the funds it deserved. Aligning with Trans Day of Visibility, when the trans community gets an influx of media, we created a microinfluencer campaign which redefined trans visibility as visibility within the trans community.

With no budget or paid support, #WeSeeUs raised $37,000 in one day, fully funding the hotline for 3 weeks.

2 years later, the campaign represents a turning point in Trans Lifeline’s following.

Trans Lifeline is a trans peer support hotline operated by trans folks, for trans folks.

We utilized the trans influencer community, many of whom were already fans of TLL’s services, to promote a message of unity, community, and visibility on TDoV.

We made gifs and stickers, custom filters for influencers, and social practices to guide them into the future.
